REFLECTIONS No. 2 On Post-War Italian and Contemporary Design
For Design Miami/ 2014, Casati Gallery features the ongoing exhibition, REFLECTIONS.
The exhibition features a selection of important historical furniture pieces by Gio Ponti, Ico Parisi and Alessandro Mendini; lighting by Ignazio Gardella and Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena; a selection of mirrors by Pietro Chiesa and Max Ingrand for Luigi Fontana-Fontana Arte; and a collection of unique rugs by the Chicago-based designer and Architect David Salkin.
Contemporary designer Jonathan Nesci presents a selection of the one hundred unique Variations mirror-polished aluminum tables series, installed this past October at the sunken courtyard lawn of the First Christian Church in Columbus, Indiana, designed by architect Eliel Saarinen.
During Design Miami/ Casati Gallery introduces works by contemporary Chicago-based designer Steven Haulenbeek, including a collection of mirrors, furniture, lighting and objects created through Haulenbeek’s unique ICE-CAST Bronze process.
